Raw Saltillo tile has a natural texture that provides some grip, but like any hard surface, it can become slippery when wet. Using a smaller size tile or textured finish can help improve traction. Our sealed Saltillo can be very slick.
Saltillo can be used inside a bathroom but not inside a shower. Coatings are not completely impermeable. Consistent exposure to water will cause the finish to blush or haze.
